This topic describes how to update an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance to the latest minor version in the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
Prerequisites
The instance is a replica set or sharded cluster instance.
The instance is not running the latest minor version. If you are using the latest minor version, the Upgrade Minor Version button is not displayed in the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
Usage notes
You cannot downgrade an instance after you upgrade the instance.
After you update the minor version of an instance, the instance is restarted and is disconnected from the application for less than 30 seconds. We recommend that you perform the upgrade during off-peak hours or make sure that your application can automatically reconnect to the instance.
If the minor version of an instance expires or is not included in the maintenance list, ApsaraDB for MongoDB automatically updates the minor version of the instance to the latest version when you perform the following operations. This ensures the performance and stability of the instance.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances based on the instance type.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and region to which the instance belongs.
Click the ID of an instance, or click in the Actions column corresponding to the instance and select Manage.
In the Specifications section, click Upgrade Minor Version.
NoteIf you are using the latest minor version, the Upgrade Minor Version button is not displayed in the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
In the Upgrade Minor Version message, view the version release log and determine whether to upgrade the instance.
If you want to upgrade the instance, click OK.
Otherwise, click Cancel.
If the state of the instance changes from Upgrading to Running, the upgrade is complete.
