    ApsaraDB for MongoDB:Enable or disable the release protection feature for an instance

    Release protection prevents an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance from being accidentally released. Enable it on instances that run critical workloads to guard against accidental deletion. To release a protected instance, disable the feature first.

    Prerequisites

    Before you begin, ensure that you have:

    • A pay-as-you-go ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance

    Enable or disable release protection

    1. Go to the Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance resides. Find the instance and click its ID.

    2. In the Basic Information section, click Set below Release Protection.

    3. In the Set Release Protection panel, turn Release Protection on or off.

    4. Click OK.

    Note

    With release protection enabled, the instance cannot be released. To release the instance, return to the Set Release Protection panel, turn off Release Protection, and then proceed to release the instance.
