Data Centers Around the World

International Regions

Alibaba Cloud offers an expanding network of CDN nodes and deployment regions, including the first public cloud data center regions in the Middle East (Dubai) and Indonesia, a string of strategic data centers in Asia, and a strong presence in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Regions in China

Data center regions in China offer BGP backbone network lines providing high-quality coverage country-wide to ensure stable and fast access inside the Mainland. In general, we recommend customers to select the data center closest to their end-users to further speed up online access.

Alibaba Cloud Product Regions

Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure is built around regions and zones (availability zones). Region refers to a physical node on a global scale. Each region is composed of multiple zones. A zone is composed of one or multiple scattered data centers, each of which has independent supporting facilities including redundant power supplies, networks, and connections. A zone helps to improve the efficiency of production apps and databases and has higher availability, error tolerance capabilities, and extendibility than a single data center.

Alibaba Cloud's data centers in China share similar attributes in regards to infrastructure, BGP network quality, service quality, ECS operation, and configuration. To ensure optimal coverage, we recommend that you select a data center region closest to your end-users. Please note that access to these regions from Mainland China may experience high latency and are generally not recommended for users inside Mainland China.

    Network Nodes

Alibaba Cloud Content Delivery Network (Alibaba Cloud CDN) is a distributed network built on top of a carrier network that solves Internet congestion and speeds up access to your web applications. Composed of edge node server clusters in different regions, it replaces the traditional data transmission mode centered on web servers and distributes user requests to the most suitable nodes, allowing the fastest possible retrieval of requested content.
