Gartner® has released its 2025 Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud Database Management Systems. Alibaba Cloud is positioned into the Leaders Quadrant for six consecutive years.

Gartner® has released its 2025 Magic Quadrant™ for Access Management report, in which Alibaba Cloud has been included for its cloud security Identity as a Service (IDaaS). This is Alibaba Cloud's first time being included in this Magic Quadrant, and it is also the sole APEC vendor to be recognized.

In November 2025, Gartner® released its latest "Innovation Guide for Generative AI Technologies" series of reports. These reports scan global vendors to provide recognition for customers across four key areas: Generative AI Cloud Infrastructure, Generative AI Engineering, Generative AI Model Providers, and AI Knowledge Management Applications/General Productivity. Alibaba Cloud is named in the Emerging Leaders Quadrant in all four key areas.

Gartner® has released its 2025 Magic Quadrant™ for Desktop as a Service, in which Alibaba Cloud is included for the third consecutive year and has been named as a Challenger for the first time, on the strength of its Elastic Desktop Servic's (WUYING) advantages in global compliance and operational capabilities, a proprietary technology stack, and continuously innovative scenario-based solutions, thereby gaining widespread recognition, especially in emerging markets such as the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and South America.

Forrester, a leading global research and advisory firm, recently published The State Of Identity And Access Management In Asia Pacific (July 15, 2025). This report provides a deep dive into IAM trends across the APAC market and Alibaba Cloud's Identity as a Service (IDaaS) has been mentioned among the noted implementation cases cited in the report.

Alibaba Cloud, with its product capabilities of Function Compute (FC) and Serverless App Engine (SAE), has achieved the highest score possible (5 points) in 9 criteria out of 21 criteria. Alibaba Cloud has been ranked as a Leader and is also the only Chinese tech company to be recognized as a leader in this research.

Recently, the renowned consulting firm Forrester released an IDV trends report titled The State Of Identity Verification In The Financial Services Industry (April 2, 2025). Alibaba Cloud's Financial-Level ID Verification product have been mentioned among the noted implementation cases cited in the report.
