Alibaba Cloud DNS (DNS)

Public DNS supports the blacklist and the whitelist. This allows customers to efficiently manage the domain names that are resolved by using public DNS.

Content

Intended customers: Public DNS (including HTTPDNS) is suitable for users of mobile clients such as apps and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. After you use Public DNS, Domain Name System (DNS) requests are not forwarded to the local DNS servers of Internet service providers (ISPs). This prevents app hijacking. In addition, Public DNS can identify the IP addresses of clients. This makes DNS resolution more accurate and faster. Feature description: Public DNS supports the blacklist and the whitelist and batch operations on domain names in the blacklist and whitelist. 1. If no domain name is added to both the whitelist and blacklist, all domain names can be resolved by default. 2. If domain names are added only to the whitelist, only the domain names in the whitelist can be resolved. 3. If domain names are added only to the blacklist, only the domain names in the blacklist cannot be resolved. 4. If domain names are added to both the whitelist and the blacklist, only the domain names in the whitelist can be resolved. 5. If a domain name is added to both the whitelist and the blacklist, the domain name cannot be resolved.
