Quick Audience:Create Automatic Marketing Campaigns

Automatic campaigns support two creation methods: custom new and new from a template. The following describes the two creation methods, related components, and canvas operations.

Component types

In the new version of Automatic marketing, the trigger mode for users to enter the process, the marketing touch in the process, the data push action, and the process control are all implemented through components.

The following table describes the component types. For more information about the component and how to configure it, click the component name to go to the corresponding document.

Text SMS

You can use the Alibaba Cloud SMS platform or a third-party SMS platform to send text messages. You can insert variables, short links, and short parameters into the message content.

Sends promotional and notification messages in the form of text messages.

Digital SMS

Sends digital text messages by using the Alibaba Cloud SMS platform. The content of text messages supports text, images, audio, and video.

Send beautiful greeting cards and invitations via SMS.

Email

Send emails through the Alibaba Cloud email platform.

Send promotional information and notification emails to overseas users.

WeChat Message

Send text, images, image-text, audio, and video messages or mini programs through WeChat official accounts.

WeChat official account pushes promotional information and notifications.

Template Message

You can use the WeChat official account to send template messages. You can flexibly replace keywords in the template content.

In the offline campaign information pushed by the WeChat official account to users in different cities, the address keyword is replaced with a different address.

APP PUSH

Send mobile phone push messages through the Umeng U-Push platform.

Mobile phone push promotion information, notification.

Tag

Tag the specified tags for the user who enters the component.

If you need to use the tagging component, you need to purchase a Tablestore instance and activate the feature first. Contact the Alibaba Cloud sales manager.

For the user to tag "membership level-VIP".

Generate Audience

The user who will enter the component is saved as an audience.

  • After the event judgment component is connected, users who have performed or have not performed a specified behavior event are saved as an audience.

  • After the Result Judgment component is connected, users are filtered based on the sending result and receipt result of the last marketing reach or data push component and saved as an audience.

Process control

Wait Until

Wait until the specified time, or wait for a period of time.

Wait for the next 12 o'clock, wait for 18 o'clock after 7 days, wait for 1 hour.

AB Test

The effect of the scheme is compared by testing.

The same audience was randomly divided into two groups, each 50% users, to the two groups to send different promotional SMS speech, test which speech under the higher sales.

Random Grouping

Splits a user who enters a component into multiple groups randomly according to a specified ratio and performs different subsequent operations on different groups.

Randomly select 20%, 30% and 50% people to send different coupons.

End

Indicates that no other components will be connected in the future.

None.

Judgment condition

Tag Judgment

Filter users that meet the requirements based on tags and perform subsequent operations. You can filter multiple groups based on different tag requirements at the same time.

Note

If the first component is a behavioral event component, you need to purchase a Tablestore instance and activate the feature if you need to use the tag judgment component. Contact the Alibaba Cloud sales manager.

From the audience that enters the component, users whose gender is female and whose address is in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are selected as the first group. Users whose gender is male and whose address is in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are selected as the second group.

Event Judgement

You can call this operation to filter users who have performed or have not performed a specified behavior event within a specified period of time.

Among the audience who enter the component, if a user does not register the APP within 1 day, send him a text message.

Attribute Judgment

After you connect to a behavioral event component, filter users based on the properties of the selected event in the behavioral event component and perform subsequent operations. You can filter multiple groups based on different property requirements at the same time.

Users who enter the process because they are concerned about the official account event perform different follow-up operations based on the source of the concern.

Result Judgment

Filter users based on the sending result and receipt result of the previous marketing touch or data push component and perform subsequent operations. You can filter multiple groups based on different result requirements at the same time.

One hour after sending WeChat messages, send short messages to users who fail to send messages and continue to send WeChat to users who succeed in sending messages.

Audience Judgment

In a marketing campaign, multiple target audience correspond to multiple campaign strategies, and there are overlapping users among the audience. In this case, the audience judgment component determines the policies and priorities of different audience of people to ensure that the same user is not repeatedly reached.

Different campaign strategies are executed for audience A and audience B, and the strategy of audience A is executed for overlapping users between the two audiences.

Data push

Webhook

Use a webhook to connect to one of your systems or a third-party system (such as a CRM) and instruct it to send a message.

The user name issued by your CRM for Quick Audience.

Push Kafka

Push the user ID to Kafka or open source Kafka.

Customize new Automatic marketing campaigns

Procedure

  1. Choose Workspace> Automatic Marketing to go to the campaign list. image

  2. In the upper-right corner, choose New Campaign > Custom creation.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, enter an campaign name, select the associated child campaign, start time, end time, and Grouping, and then click OK.

    • A child campaign is associated with a sub-campaign in a Marketing Campaign. In the drop-down list, click the primary campaign on the left. The sub-campaigns of the primary campaign are displayed on the right. The sub-campaigns are displayed under-at the end of the primary campaign list. Select the sub-campaigns to associate the sub-campaigns. If you select the primary campaign on the left, all sub-campaigns under that primary campaign will be associated. image

    • If you do not limit the start and end times, the campaign will start immediately after it is published.

  4. Configure the campaign flow on the canvas page.

  5. If you need to modify the campaign name, associated sub-campaigns, and start and end time, click the xgicon in the upper-left corner and modify the changes in the pop-up window.

  6. If you want to save the flow without executing it, click Save Draft to save it and return to the campaign list. The campaign is displayed in the Draft state. You can click Edit to continue the configuration.

    If you click the icon in the upper-left corner wto return to the list of campaigns, the configuration is not saved.

  7. After the process is configured, click Publish to save the configuration. If the start and end time of the campaign is not set, or the start time has been reached, the campaign will start immediately; otherwise, the campaign will wait until the set start time before starting.

    Note

    Under the current cloud resource configuration, to ensure the execution performance, if there are 100 campaigns in progress in the same workspace at the same time, if a new campaign is published, an error will be reported. You need to wait for an ongoing campaign to finish, or manually stop, before you publish a new campaign.

Create a new automatic marketing campaign based on a template

We provide strategy templates for multiple common marketing scenarios. The strategy templates provide the overall process of the recommend and the recommend configuration of some components such as target audience components and marketing touch components to help you quickly establish the required Automatic marketing campaigns.

Procedure

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Workspace> Automatic Marketing. image

  2. In the upper-right corner, click New Campaign > New Campaign from Template.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, select a policy template and click Use.

  4. In the dialog box that appears, enter a name for the campaign, specify Associated Sub-campaign, Start Time, End Time, and Grouping, and then click OK.

    If you do not limit the start and end times, the campaign will start immediately after it is published. image

  5. Go to the canvas page. The process defined by the strategy template is preset on the canvas. Take the "First Purchase Member Guided Re-purchase" strategy template as an example, as shown in the following figure. 26

  6. The pop-up window in the lower-right corner shows the template details, showing the key process components to be configured in the template. Click the corresponding process component. A prompt appears above the corresponding component. Configure the component by referring to the prompt.

    Note
    • You can also configure components based on your business requirements.

    • Click the icon in the upper right corner 15of the template details window to fold the template details. Collapse and click the 21icon to expand it again.

    • If you click Don't Show Again in the lower-right corner of the template details window, the template details are hidden and cannot be displayed.

    • The following figure shows the prompt of the Target audience component. 5475

      1. Click View Rules in the prompt. A pop-up window displays the target audience filtering rules recommend by the system, as shown in the following figure. 235

      2. Click Create audience to go to the audience Filtering page. The audience Filtering page is automatically configured based on the rules recommend by the system, as shown in the following figure. Enter an audience name and other information based on your business requirements. For more information about how to filter audience, see Audience Filtering Documentation.

        Note

        The filtering rules are automatically configured on the page only when the data table structure and model required by the filtering rules have been configured.

      3. After the audience is generated, select the audience for the Target Audience Component.

    • The following figure shows the prompt for the Marketing Reach component. 48

      1. Click View Content in the prompt. A pop-up window displays the marketing message content recommend by the system, as shown in the following figure. Click the 124icon to copy the content. 32

      2. Click Create Template to go to the Create SMS Template page. Create an SMS template based on your business requirements. You can paste the copied SMS content. For more information, see Create SMS Templates.

      3. After you create an SMS template and the template is approved, select the template for the Text SMS Components.

  7. Configure other components or adjust the process based on your business needs to complete the configuration of the entire process so that the components are connected by solid lines instead of dashed lines.

    The subsequent operations are the same as those performed when you create a custom marketing campaign. For more information, see steps 4 to 7 in Create Custom Automatic Marketing Campaign.

Canvas Layout

The canvas is shown in the preceding figure:

  • On the left is a list of optional components.

  • The global button is in the upper-right corner. 14

    From left to right:

    • Add an end component with one click: Add an end component for each link. Before you publish a link, the end component must end at the end of each link.

    • Undo: undoes the previous operation. You can undo multiple operations in a row.

    • Redo: Redo the operation that was undone in the previous step. You can redo multiple steps in a row.

    • Fit to Screen: enables the configured flow to be displayed at an appropriate size on the canvas.

    • Zoom in and fade

    • Displays the percentage of the current zoom.

    • Zoom out and fade

  • The rest of the canvas is the process editing area.

Canvas Actions

Add Component

  • If no component is added to the process, you need to first add the component that the user enters the process condition at the position of the bottom diagram. 346

  • After a component has been added to the process with the user entering the process condition, you can add the component to the end of the link in the lower diagram, or you can insert a component between two components. 15

Add component method:

  1. To add a component, there are three methods:

  • Move the pointer over the plus sign icon. A list of available components appears. Click the required component to add. 23521

  • Drag the required component from the list of optional components on the left side of the canvas to the plus icon to become a new component in the process. 2354

  • Insert a component between two components:

    Move the pointer over the line. The plus icon appears and the list of available components appears. Click the required component to add it. 3537

  1. Configure the component.

After you add a widget to or click a widget, a panel appears on the right. Configure the widget in the panel. For more information about how to configure each component, see Target Audience.

An unconfigured component has been added. A red dot is displayed in the upper right corner, and the connection line between the component and the front component is a dashed line, as shown in the following figure.

Add Connection

Manually adding wires is used in two scenarios:

  • The component requires more than one subsequent link.

    For example, in the following figure, send text messages and WeChat to the same group of people at the same time. 26

  • Components need to reuse subsequent links that have been configured for other components.

    For example, in the following figure, after sending text messages and WeChat messages to different groups of people, follow-up operations are performed according to the receipt results. 24637

Add wire method:

  • Add a subsequent link (not applicable to the last component on the link):

    Move the mouse to the point on the right edge of the component, and a plus sign icon will appear. Click the plus sign icon to extend a line. Alternatively, press and hold the plus sign icon while dragging outward to bring up a line. Release the mouse in the blank space. 232323

  • Connect to other links:

    Move the mouse to the empty line on the right side of the component, and the line will be highlighted. Press and hold the dot on the right side of the line while dragging toward the link to be connected. When connected to the link, the link will also be highlighted. At this time, release the mouse.

Copy and paste components

You can copy and paste a widget, or copy and paste a widget and its subsequent links.

  • Copy and paste a component separately:

    Supports copying and pasting a component to a link or to the end of a link.

    Move the pointer over a widget and three icons appear. Click Copy to copy the widget. When you move the pointer over the widget, Click to Paste appears. Click to paste the widget.

    After copying, you can press the Esc key on the keyboard to exit the copy state.

    The configuration of the new component is the same as that of the original component. You can modify the configuration.

  • Copy and paste components and their subsequent links:

    Supports copying and pasting components and their subsequent links to the end of the link.

    Move the pointer over a widget and three icons appear. Click the second icon to copy the widget and its subsequent links. Move the pointer over the widget. Click to paste is displayed. Click to paste the widget.

    After copying, you can press the esc key on the keyboard to exit the copy state.

    The configuration of the new component is the same as that of the original component. You can modify the configuration.

Delete components

You can only delete a component and all components on its subsequent links. You cannot delete a component separately.

  • Delete the component and its subsequent links:

    Move the pointer over the widget. Three icons appear. Click the third icon to Delete the widget and its subsequent links. In the dialog box that appears, click OK. 23547

  • Cut the connection before the component and delete the subsequent links:

    Move the pointer over the wire in front of the widget. The Scissors icon appears. Click the Scissors icon and confirm the deletion in the pop-up window.

FAQ

How to view the activity process and configuration of each component after creating an automated marketing campaign?

A: You can click Details or Edit in the Actions column to go to the canvas and view the configured flow. Click a component on the canvas. The configuration panel appears on the right side of the page. The configuration information of the component appears.

What campaign templates does Quick Audience provide?

Existing campaign templates include:

  • New membership first single conversion:

    After the membership registration is successful, the system actively sends coupons to the membership account. After the coupons are successfully sent, the membership care SMS is sent. After the membership logs in, the coupon expiration reminder SMS is sent to urge the membership to place an order, as shown in the following figure.

  • First purchase membership guide re-purchase:

    For memberships who have completed the first purchase and have not traded in the last 30 days, the system actively sends coupons to the membership account. After the coupons are successfully sent, the system sends a text message to remind the membership to use the coupons to re-purchase, as shown in the following figure.

  • High customer single low frequency customer frequency:

    For members with customer orders>=XXX yuan in the past 12 months and purchase frequency <3 times in the past 12 months, the system actively sends new product recommend short messages to members to promote re-purchase, as shown in the following figure.
