:Overview of exporters

This topic describes how to use the exporters of Alibaba Cloud Prometheus Service to monitor your applications and databases, such as MySQL databases, Redis databases, and MongoDB databases. This topic also describes how to configure Grafana dashboards to display monitoring data.

The exporters that are provided by Prometheus Service are open source exporters. You can use an exporter to access self-managed or Alibaba Cloud applications and databases. For example, you can use an exporter to access self-managed MySQL databases or ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL databases. There are three types of Prometheus instances that allow you to use exporters to monitor applications or databases such as MySQL databases, Redis databases, and MongoDB databases. The three types of Prometheus instances are Prometheus instances for Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) clusters, Prometheus instances for Kubernetes clusters, and Prometheus instances for Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances.
