Unified Full-Stack Observability Data Integration Center (Integration Center) of Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) provides out-of-the-box observability capabilities for most monitoring targets in the cloud, including infrastructure, server-side applications, frontend applications, databases, middleware, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data services.
Terms
environment
Traces are distributed through the following environments:
container environment: A container environment is a container with a large amount of data that can be collected. Managed Service for Prometheus provides automatic trace management to help you intelligently install agents and process data.
VPC environment: A VPC environment contains Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance data that is pulled through virtual private clouds (VPCs). We recommend that you configure a separate environment for each VPC. ARMS preferentially collects data through VPCs to minimize the number of agents installed in ECS instances.
cloud service environment: One cloud service environment can be created in a region to integrate the monitoring data of an Alibaba Cloud service.
By default, each environment is associated with a Prometheus instance to store metric data. For ARMS sub-services such as Application Monitoring and Managed Service for OpenTelemetry, not all metric data can be stored.
component
Each component is used to monitor an infrastructure or a service to implement metric collection, data visualization, and alerting.
