Target customers: users of federated queries, developers, and analysts. Features released: MaxCompute allows you to access ApsaraDB for HBase over a virtual private cloud (VPC). After the connection is established and you are authorized, you can create an external table for ApsaraDB for HBase. You can use HBaseStorageHandler provided by Hive to read data from and write data to tables in ApsaraDB for HBase. You can use an external table for ApsaraDB for HBase to synchronize data from ApsaraDB for HBase to MaxCompute for the subsequent extract, transform, and load (ETL) process. You can also associate an external table for ApsaraDB for HBase to perform federated computing or export data from MaxCompute to the table. Both reading data from and writing data to external tables for ApsaraDB for HBase are in public preview. Therefore, no computing fees are charged, and no SLA is provided.
