You can change the maximum backup speed of Database Backup (DBS) by specifying the Maximum Concurrent Threads for Full Data Backup and Backup network speed limit parameters.
Parameter description
- Maximum Concurrent Threads for Full Data Backup
This parameter is in positive correlations with the backup speed and the performance impact on the source database. After you specify this parameter, all backup links of physical and logical backups are affected.
Table 1. Maximum concurrent threads of different specifications Backup schedule type Maximum concurrent threads for full data backup Estimated time taken to back up 100 GB of data micro 2 20 hours small 4 5 hours medium 6 2.5 hours large 8 1.5 hours xlarge 16 1 hour - Backup network speed limit
If you specify this parameter, the backup speed is limited by network bandwidths. This parameter is valid only for MySQL and Oracle backup links. This parameter is set to 0 by default, which indicates that no upper limit is imposed on the backup speed.Note If you want to limit the network bandwidth of a backup, we recommend that you prioritize this parameter over the Maximum Concurrent Threads for Full Data Backup parameter.
Procedure
- If no backup schedule is created, perform the following operations:
When you create a backup schedule, specify the maximum number of parallel threads for a full backup and Backup network speed limit parameters. For more information, see Configure a backup schedule.
- If a backup schedule is created, perform the following operations:
On the backup schedule details page, click Backup Time and Advanced Settings and specify the maximum number of parallel threads for a full backup and Backup network speed limit parameters. For more information, see Manage backup schedules.
