To increase the quota of a chargeable Data Management (DMS) item billed in subscription mode, upgrade its service specifications. Each chargeable item supports only one subscription order, so upgrading is the only way to expand your quota.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A DMS administrator or database administrator (DBA) role in DMS. To check your role, see View system roles
Logged on with an Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user with the
AliyunBSSOrderAccesspolicy attached. To grant this policy to a RAM user, see Grant permissions to a RAM user
Limits
Upgrading service specifications can only increase the number of instances — you cannot decrease it through this process.
Upgrade service specifications
Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
In the top navigation bar, move the pointer over the icon and select DMS Order Management.
In the Purchase specification details dialog box, find the item whose specifications you want to upgrade, and click Upgrade in the Operation column.
On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, specify the number of instances, select Terms of Service, and click Buy Now.
FAQ
