Each time a data source runs a backup, a backup set is generated. Delete data backup sets to reduce backup storage costs.
Limitations
Log backup sets cannot be deleted. The following constraints apply to log backups:
Log backup is enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
Log backup sets are retained for 30 days. The retention period cannot be changed.
Delete a data backup set
Deletion is permanent. A deleted backup set cannot be restored.
Data backup sets that are automatically generated or generated when you manually initiate a backup task can be deleted.
Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
In the top navigation bar, choose Security and Specifications (DBS) > Disaster Recovery for Data (DBS) > Disaster Recovery Data Source.
If you use the DMS console in simple mode, move the pointer over the
icon in the upper-left corner and choose All Features > Security and Specifications (DBS) > Disaster Recovery for Data (DBS) > Disaster Recovery Data Source.In the top navigation bar, select a region, then click the ID of the data source to open the Data Source Details page.
Navigate to the backup set based on your database type:
Alibaba Cloud databases: On the Backup Data page, click the Logical Backup tab, then find the backup set.
Self-managed databases (ECS-hosted, on-premises, or third-party cloud databases with automatic backup enabled): On the Data Backup page, find the data set.
Click Edit in the Actions column.
In the message that appears, click Delete.
