This section describes operations of the ER diagram in DMS.
You have access permissions to DMS and you have logged on to the DMS console.
This example uses the MySQL database.
Log on to the DMS console. The homepage is displayed, as shown below:
Select a MySQL database, and click Log On to Database.
On the top menu bar, choose Tools > ER Diagram to enter the next page.
The ER diagram shows the relationship between the tables of the current database and provides the table names, column names, indexes, and relationships.
You can use the following features.
Click the DB:mysql in drop-down list to switch to another database.
Click the Order: Sort in drop-down list to sort tables in descending order of relationship count or field count or in ascending order of table name or field count.
Click Refresh to refresh the current ER diagram.
Click View SQL Scripts to list the SQL statements used to create all the tables of the current database.
Click Download SQL Scripts to download the SQL statements used to create all the tables of the current database.
Click Download XML Files to convert the table creation SQL statements of the current database to XML files, as shown below:
Double-click the name of a table column to view the column definition. Double-click a table name to edit the table on a new page, as shown below:
