    Data Management:View system roles

    Data Management (DMS) assigns each user one of five system roles: regular user, security administrator, database administrator (DBA), DMS administrator, and schema read-only user. Each role grants a different set of permissions. This topic describes how to check the system role assigned to your account.

    Usage notes

    Only a DMS administrator can modify system roles. For details, see Modify a user.

    View your system role

    1. Log on to the DMS console V5.0.

    2. In the upper-right corner, move the pointer over the Profile picture icon.

      • Simple mode: Select User Information to view your system role.

      • Normal mode: Your system role appears directly in the dropdown.

      Note

      Click the chakan icon next to a system role to view the tenant of the account and which users in your tenant hold the DBA or DMS administrator role.
