Data Management (DMS) supports the subscription billing method, which requires a renewal if a chargeable DMS item expires. To prevent your business from being affected, renew chargeable DMS items at the earliest opportunity. The renewal feature is applicable only to subscription DMS items. You do not need to renew pay-as-you-go DMS items. Make sure that your Alibaba Cloud account has sufficient balance. This topic describes how to enable the auto-renewal feature for and manually renew DMS items.
Usage notes
If you enable the auto-renewal feature for a DMS item, the system deducts fees from your Alibaba Cloud account nine days before the DMS item expires. Make sure that your account has a sufficient balance. Both the balance and vouchers in your account can be used for fee deductions.
If you manually renew a DMS item before fees are automatically deducted in a billing cycle, no fees are automatically deducted in the billing cycle until the DMS item is about to expire next time.
If a DMS item is about to expire the next day, manually renew the DMS item to prevent service interruptions For more information, see the Manually renew a DMS item section of this topic.
