DMS integrates Database Autonomy Service (DAS) to give you real-time visibility into database instance performance—and the tools to act on what you find.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the required permissions based on how your database instance is managed:
-
Flexible Management or Stable Change mode: Permission to log on to the database instance
-
Security Collaboration mode: Permission to manage the performance of the database instance
Available features
DAS provides four features to monitor and diagnose database performance:
| Feature | What it does |
| One-click diagnostics | Identify performance issues in your database instances. See Diagnostics. |
| Real-time performance monitoring | View performance metrics for each database instance connected to DAS in real time. See Real-time monitoring. |
| Instance session management | View active session details—client info, commands, and connection duration—and terminate abnormal sessions. See Session management. |
| Storage analysis | View storage usage and the number of days for which the remaining storage is available, with per-table breakdowns covering storage usage, tablespace fragments, and diagnostic reports for storage exceptions. See Storage analysis. |
