    Data Management:Customize DMS console layout and style

    Data Management (DMS) offers flexible settings to customize the DMS console to meet your needs.

    The DMS console supports two modes: simple mode and normal mode.

    Simple mode

    1. Log in to DMS 5.0.

    2. Customize the DMS console layout.

      Parameter

      Description

      Frequently used features

      Displays the DMS features that you recently used.

      Skins

      Select the DMS skin: Blue (default) or Dark.

      Click your user avatar in the upper-right corner and select Settings from the drop-down menu to display the Skins options.

    Normal mode

    1. Log in to DMS 5.0.

    2. On the right side of the top navigation bar, click the 5设置 icon to view the interface settings.

    3. Customize the DMS console layout.

      Description

      Drop-down menus in top navigation bar

      Enabled by default. After you select a top-level directory from the top navigation bar, a drop-down menu appears with its corresponding features.

      Note

      If this setting is disabled, you access features from the navigation pane on the left.

      When Drop-down menus in top navigation bar is enabled, you can configure the content of the navigation pane on the left:

      • Tabs: The navigation pane on the left displays second-level and third-level menus.

        Note

        If Drop-down menus in top navigation bar is disabled, the navigation pane on the left can only display tabs.

      • Resources: The navigation pane on the left displays the database instance list.

      Shortcuts

      Enabled by default. When enabled, the shortcuts bar is displayed below the top navigation bar. You can select Shortcuts, then click the 5星号 icon next to a feature to pin it to the shortcuts bar.

      Show tabs

      Enabled by default. When this setting is enabled, you can open multiple features simultaneously, and each feature opens in its own tab. You can drag the tabs to reorder them.

      Note

      If this setting is disabled, you can open only one feature at a time, and it opens in full screen.

      Skins

      Select the DMS skin: Blue (default) or Dark.

      Language

      The default language for the DMS console is Simplified Chinese.

      You can switch the console language to Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, or Traditional Chinese.
