ApsaraDB RDS for SQL ServerWhen you use the physical backup method for an RDS instance that runs SQL Server EE on RDS Cluster Edition, you can enable the secondary database preferred mode. This helps troubleshoot the high I/O usage issue on the primary RDS instance. A high I/O usage significantly affects instance performance.

Features released: When you use the physical backup method for an RDS instance that runs SQL Server EE on RDS Cluster Edition, you can enable the secondary database preferred mode on the Backup and Restoration page of the ApsaraDB RDS console. After the secondary database preferred mode is enabled for an RDS instance, all backups performed on the RDS instance are full backups.
