背景
周生生集團國際有限公司（香港交易所上市公司 (股份代號：0116)，簡稱 "周生生"）是一家擁有近九十年歷史的珠寶零售品牌，於1934年成立，並於1973年在香港上市，成為香港首家上市的珠寶業公司。
周生生集團一直以傳承珠寶文化及價值為己任，積極以創新思維和持續發展理念開拓珠寶零售新機遇，以自營模式提供多元化、高品質的珠寶產品及卓越服務，集團擁有逾萬名員工和近千間門市，為中國首屈一指的珠寶零售集團之一。
挑戰
周生生致力經營與拓展市場，在兩岸四地已擁有逾萬名員工，並持續穩步增長，因此需要一套安全且穩定的人力資源管理系統，以支持員工的出勤與薪資福利作業。
打造一套集團最適切的人力資源管理系統需從許多層面作出考量，包括初期的情境溝通與設計，以及確保系統必須擁有嚴格的安全措施以保護個人數據，防止外部入侵和內部資料洩漏；此外也需考慮到系統持續的維護與更新，當中也涉及人力與成本的投放。

周生生在規劃系統時，將安全、成本、建設周期、門市據點、與日後彈性擴增等需求進行全面考量。
周生生決定與阿里雲合作，不只因為阿里雲在亞太區有密集的基礎設施，其穩定、安全及可靠的產品服務，提供了安全與順暢的數碼體驗。此外，阿里雲產品的高度整合性也讓系統建設周期縮短約五倍時間，節省本地部署與硬體採購的鉅額成本。

架構
為了追求安全、穩定且順暢的數碼體驗，周生生除採用阿里雲Kubernetes 容器服務(ACK)、彈性計算服務 (ECS)、雲原生關係型數據庫(PolarDB)、對象存儲服務(OSS)、數據庫(RDS)、日誌服務(SLS)等來存儲、處理和訪問數據等基本服務外，也採用了Web 應用程序防火牆 (WAF)、雲防火牆(CloudFireWall)、安全堡壘主機(Bastionhost)等多款產品，提升在線與維運安全。
