ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server will retire serverless instances to focus resources on more advanced and stable database solutions. If you are currently using this service, please pay attention to the following arrangements:

Key Timeline (Singapore Time)

• End of New Purchases: As of December 1, 2025 (SGT), new purchases will no longer be accepted.
• Service Termination: Technical support services for serverless instances will cease on June 1, 2026 (SGT).

Impact Summary

• From the date of End of New Purchases, no new orders will be accepted.
• From the date of Service Termination, no new features or updates will be provided for the service.Besides, the technical support will be permanently discontinued. Therefore, no troubleshooting, or technical assistance will be provided. However, the operation of existing serverless instances will not be affected.

Recommended Actions:

• To minimize the impact on your business, we strongly recommend converting your serverless instances to pay-as-you-go instances before the date of Service Termination.
