MaxCompute - Supports ApsaraDB RDS External Tables (Public Preview)
Feb 08 2021MaxCompute
Target customers: developers, analysts, and users of federated queries. Features released: MaxCompute can connect to an ApsaraDB RDS instance that is deployed in a virtual private cloud (VPC). After MaxCompute is connected and authorized, you can create an ApsaraDB RDS external table and use the table to read data from and write data to the RDS instance. You can synchronize data, such as dimension data and business data, from the RDS instance to MaxCompute for extract, transform, load (ETL) processing. You can also associate the table with MaxCompute for federated computing or export data from MaxCompute to the RDS instance. Both writing data to and reading data from an ApsaraDB RDS external table are in public preview. No computing fees are charged, and the service level agreement (SLA) is not provided.
