Thanks for your trust in Alibaba Cloud Backup service. The automatic archiving feature of Cloud Backup will officially start commercial charging from June 30, 2025. The automatic archiving feature involves two billing items: the storage capacity fee for the archive layer of the backup vault and the data recovery fee from the archive layer of the backup vault. After it takes effect, all existing users and new users who use this function will be charged based on these two billing items.

Billing Rules

The storage capacity fee for the archive layer of the backup vault is charged based on the storage capacity and storage duration (at least retained for 60 days; if less than 60 days, the retention period is calculated as 60 days). The data recovery fee from the archive tier of the backup vault is charged based on the amount of data recovered.
