Announcement: Billing Policy Adjustment for Cloud Firewall Elastic Traffic Processing
Feb 28, 2026
Cloud FirewallAffected Time
2026-03-06 10:00:00 - 2026-03-06 11:00:00 (UTC+08) New Subscription 1.0 Users
2026-05-28 10:00:00 - 2026-05-29 00:00:00 (UTC+08) Existing Subscription 1.0 Users
Change Details
- For New Subscription 1.0 Users: The Elastic Traffic Processing capability will be enabled by default for all newly purchased Cloud Firewall Subscription 1.0 instances.
- For Existing Subscription 1.0 Users: The Elastic Traffic Processing capability will be enabled by default. Simultaneously, the option to manually "Disable Elastic Traffic Processing" will be removed, and the daily 10 GB free quota for over-specification traffic will be discontinued.
Impact
- For New Subscription 1.0 Users (Effective after 11:00 on March 6, 2026): Elastic Traffic Processing will be active by default. If your actual business traffic exceeds the purchased bandwidth specification, Pay-as-you-go (post-payment) bills will be generated. Please refer to the Subscription Elastic Traffic Billing documentation for details. You may purchase Savings Plans to offset these post-payment costs.
- For Existing Subscription 1.0 Users (Effective after 10:00 on May 28, 2026): Elastic Traffic Processing will be enabled by default with no option to disable it. The daily 10 GB free over-limit traffic allowance will no longer be available.
- No Impact Scenario: Cloud Firewall instances whose actual traffic usage stays within the purchased bandwidth processing specification will not be affected by this change and will not incur additional charges.
