Jul 17 2019
ApsaraDB RDS for SQL ServerContent
Target customers: ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server Basic users. Supported versions: SQL Server 2012 EE Basic, SQL Server 2012 SE Basic, SQL Server 2012 Web Basic, SQL Server 2016 Web Basic, SQL Server 2016 EE Basic, and SQL Server 2016 SE Basic. Features released: supports upgrading from SQL Server Basic to SQL Server High-availability. You can upgrade an SQL Server instance on the Basic Information tab of the Apsara for RDS console. An upgrade requires about 20 minutes to complete. We recommend that you upgrade instances during off-peak hours to ensure business continuity. In addition, you must ensure that the automatic reconnection feature is enabled on your application. This allows the session between the application and the SQL Server instance to remain active after the upgrade. The network type of the instance is unchanged after the upgrade. You can change the VSwitch rather than the VPC for the instance. For more information, see the product documentation.
