New Feature/Specification: The RDS DuckDB-based analytical primary instance is an independently deployed database instance. Its core advantages are as follows: 1. High-performance analytics: Built-in DuckDB engine with support for columnar storage, Just-in-Time (JIT) compilation, vectorized execution, efficient memory management, and parallel processing. Complex query performance is up to 100x faster than standard MySQL. 2. High MySQL compatibility: 100% compatible with the MySQL protocol and data types, and highly compatible with MySQL syntax. Supports transactions (Snapshot Isolation isolation level) and MySQL binary logging for primary-standby data replication, ensuring data reliability and consistency. 3. Low storage cost: Columnar storage technology improves the data compression ratio. Compared with the InnoDB engine, disk usage of the DuckDB-based analytical primary instance is reduced by more than 50%. 4. Security and reliability: The instance uses a cluster architecture and supports automatic switchover upon edge zone failure to ensure business continuity. The kernel has crash-safe capabilities to ensure data durability in extreme scenarios. Also supports reliable backup and recovery mechanisms, enabling point-in-time restore of data. 5. Simple structure: uses the same database kernel as RDS for MySQL regular instances without any external widget dependencies.
