Apsara File Storage NASContent
New features: • Supports SMB 2.0 and above, and all Windows versions of Windows Vista/Windows Server 2008 and above. • Supports capacity-oriented and performance-oriented NAS, and the linear scaling of the file system capacity and performance with a single namespace. A single file system can store up to 10 PB data and up to 3.2 billion files, with the maximum throughput being 20 Gbps and IOPS being 20,000. • Supports the access security management in both VPCs and classic networks to guarantee your data privacy. Provides mount point permission groups. Supports RAM for the console access (governance APIs). You can also access the Alibaba Cloud SMB file storage from your own IDCs using the private lines or VPNs. • Each mount point only provides one "share" named "myshare" for the UNC access. You can visit it at "\\mount_point\myshare". For more information about the mounting method, see the Help documentation. • Supports the Apsara-based high-availability and high-reliability distributed system, with the SLA consistent with the NFS. Applicable to: The SMB protocol is a better option for Windows clients, because Windows versions have better support for the SMB protocol. A vast majority of Windows applications can access the Alibaba Cloud file storage service using the SMB protocol without any modifications required. So we recommend the SMB file system for Windows customers.
