AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL - Basic Edition Released with Cost Reductions of 87% for Entry-level Instance Creation and 50% for Storage
Target customers: small and micro enterprise and individual users who require lower instance creation costs (previous price of an entry-level instance: USD 1,063.79 per month); large and medium-sized enterprise users who require lower data storage costs (previous proportion of storage costs to total costs for typical specifications: 50%). Features released: AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL has released Basic Edition in the following regions: China (Beijing), China (Shanghai), China (Hangzhou), China (Shenzhen), and Singapore. In single-replica storage mode, Basic Edition instances incur only 50% of the storage costs of High-availability Edition instances. The use of enhanced SSDs (ESSDs) prevents data loss at a high data reliability of 99.999999% even if a compute node fails. In addition, Basic Edition improves the performance of compute nodes by up to five times in I/O-intensive scenarios. The single-replica storage mode allows a minimum of two compute nodes and provides four types of specifications: 2 cores and 8 GB, 4 cores and 16 GB, 8 cores and 32 GB, and 16 cores and 64 GB. Basic Edition offers low starting costs at USD 0.253 per hour for entry-level pay-as-you-go instances and USD 133.57 per month for entry-level subscription instances with 87% costs reduced (entry-level instance specifications: 2 cores, 8 GB memory, 50 GB storage, and 2 compute nodes).
