SUSE Linux Enterprise Server will be commercialized on October 30, 2021

Dear user,

In order to provide better services, the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) operating system will be officially commercialized on October 30, 2021.

For customers' preparation and switching, Alibaba Cloud will provide a three-month announcement period and a five-month transition period, a total of eight months of buffer time.

Charges for newly purchased instances will start on October 30, 2021, including instances created using existing custom images.
For existing instances, the ECS console will provide you with a selection entry, and you can make your selection before April 1, 2022:
* If you choose to pay, you will be charged after April 1, 2022 (the charging start time has nothing to do with the time of making the choice, it is recommended that you make your choice as soon as possible), and you can continue to get image source updates and SUSE after-sales support.
* If you choose not to pay, the continuity of ECS instances will not be affected, but after April 1, 2022, you will not be able to get image updates and SUSE after-sales support.

During the announcement period and transition period, Alibaba Cloud will continue to pay the subscription cost for you.

Please refer to the future official announcement of Alibaba Cloud for the price of SLES. If you do not wish to continue using SLES, we recommend that you use the free Alibaba Cloud Linux instead of SLES.
