Upgrade Details

To continuously improve the security and compliance management of Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS), starting from 10:00:00 (Beijing Time) on March 25, 2026, a new policy will be applied to all newly created Buckets. For XML-type objects accessed via the default OSS endpoint or Transfer Acceleration endpoint, the Response Header will automatically include Content-Disposition:'attachment=filename;'. This means that when accessing these objects via a browser, the content will no longer be displayed directly; instead, the object will be downloaded as an attachment. This update covers all OSS regions, marking the full implementation of this policy across all Alibaba Cloud public cloud regions.

Requests made via custom domains will not have this header added and will not be forced to download as an attachment. If you need to access OSS using a custom domain, please refer to the OSS documentation Accessing OSS via Custom Domains.
