Change Content

For Elastic Compute Service (ECS) subscription instances, the refund calculation rules for cancellation and prepaid-to-postpaid conversion scenarios will be updated as follows:

Change 1: Revised Refund Calculation Rules for ECS Subscription Instances

• Before the Change:
  • Refund Amount = Original Order Payment – Used Amount
  • Used Amount = Daily Price of the monthly subscription (Original Order Price / Total Subscription Duration) × Actual Usage Duration × Discount for the Actual Usage Duration.
• After the Change: Adjustments to the "Used Amount" in the formula "Refund Amount = Original Order Payment – Used Amount" will apply:
  • if Usage Duration < 1 Month: Used Amount = (1.5 × Daily Price of Monthly Subscription(Monthly Price/ 30) ) (approximately equivalent to Pay-As-You-Go pricing for the same configuration) × Actual Usage Duration × Discount for the Actual Usage Duration.
  • if Usage Duration ≥ 1 Month: Used Amount = Daily Price of Monthly Subscription (Monthly Price/ 30)× Actual Usage Duration × Discount for the Actual Usage Duration.
• Note: Partial days in "Actual Usage Duration" will be rounded up to a full day; The Used Amount shall not exceed the original order payment.

Change 2: New Self-Service Cancellation Channels

• Users may cancel subscriptions via the Console or API, subject to the above refund rules.
• A monthly refund quota will be enforced per account, calculated as: vCPUs Refunded × Refund Hours (vCPU-hours). Specific quotas are displayed on the refund interface.
