Changes

To optimize service architecture and enhance security, the Security Center will upgrade its system deployment. Beginning November 17, 2025, the management node will be divided into two independent nodes by service area:

• Chinese mainland: Serviced by Chinese mainland data center.
• Outside Chinese mainland: Serviced by Singapore data center.

To ensure a smooth transition for your business, the relevant arrangements are as follows:

1. Scope of impact

• Customers without cloud services in the China (Hong Kong) region:Your Security Center will automatically upgrade to the new console version on November 17, 2025. No action is required, and services will not be affected.
• Customers with cloud assets in the China (Hong Kong) region:To ensure a smooth upgrade experience, your service upgrade will be automatically executed by March 5, 2026.Once the upgrade is complete, you can view and manage your assets in the China (Hong Kong) region on the Outside Chinese mainland node.

2. Upgrade description

• Log data source:If you have subscribed to CTDR (Cloud Threat Detection and Response) and configured Security Center product log access:After the upgrade, log data for related products in the China (Hong Kong) region will be migrated to the Singapore data center.Once the upgrade is complete, go to the Outside Chinese mainland node to reconfigure log access, ensuring that CTDR continues to operate as expected.
• Upgrade process:The upgrade takes about 30 minutes. During this time, asset data in the China (Hong Kong) region may experience temporary delays. We will provide real-time updates on the upgrade progress through the console.

3. Upgrade services in advance

To provide customers who have purchased cloud services in the China (Hong Kong) region with greater flexibility in scheduling upgrades, Security Center will gradually open the advanced upgrade registration starting August 14, 2025.

• Applicable users: Customers who have purchased cloud services in the China (Hong Kong) region.
• To register for an upgrade, log in to the Security Center console, navigate to the Overview page, and view the announcement. Click Upgrade to submit your upgrade application.
• The system will automatically complete the upgrade within 24 hours of your registration, allowing you to bypass the default upgrade schedule.
• During the upgrade, we will provide real-time updates on the progress through the console.

Recommendation: Use the advanced upgrade to bypass peak upgrade periods and ensure a smooth transition for your business.

4. Service selection and feedback

If you do not agree with the upgrade plan, you can contact Alibaba Cloud customer service for feedback at any time. You also have the option to terminate your Security Center service.
