Changes

As of 2025-08-06 00:00, Model Studio has upgraded its system permissions module. Permissions are now scoped at the page level, and access to specific pages requires explicit authorization from the Alibaba Cloud account.

The advanced administrative permissions that RAM users previously had by default have been withdrawn, including: workspace and user management (top-right gear icon), key management (bottom-left), and permission management (bottom-left). If these permissions are required, use your Alibaba Cloud account or an administrator account with the AliyunBailianFullAccess policy to grant them on the Permissions page.

Impact

This adjustment does not affect normal usage by the Alibaba Cloud account, nor does it impact core platform functionality. However, it may affect certain RAM users that relied on default advanced permissions. We recommend reviewing RAM user permissions and completing the necessary grants in advance to ensure uninterrupted operations. Thank you for your support and understanding.

How to grant permissions:

• Go to the Permissions page in the console.

• Click Add User and add your required RAM user.

• Then, click Permissions next to the RAM user and add required page permissions.
