Changes

1. On August 1, 2025, Model Studio will update Qwen-Plus-latest to the Qwen-Plus-2025-07-28 snapshot. Compared to the previous version, this snapshot has been specifically enhanced in Chinese and English capabilities and tool calling. It supports 1M context window length for the first time, and uses tiered pricing based on context length.
2. The context limit for Qwen-Plus-Latest can be controlled via a parameter. To maintain compatibility with historical usage, the system sets its default value to 128K. If you need longer context, just set it to 1M.
3. After 30 days (on August 31, 2025), the system will automatically change the default value of the context parameter from 128K to 1M.

Note: Historical versions of Qwen-Plus-Latest have a maximum context window of 128K.

Impact

After the update

• Qwen-Plus-Latest is updated to Qwen-Plus-2025-07-28 and uses tiered pricing.
• The max_input_token parameter controls the context limit of the model. To maintain compatibility with historical usage, the system sets its default value to 128K. If you need longer context, just set it to 1M.
• After 30 days (on August 31, 2025), the system will automatically change the default value of the context parameter from 128K to 1M.
• Qwen-Plus-2025-07-28 and the updated Qwen-Plus-Latest use tiered pricing
  • Context length: 0-256K, price unchanged
  • Context length: 256K-1M, tiered pricing applies.
• Note: Historical versions prior to Qwen-Plus-2025-07-28 have a maximum context window of 128K and do not use tiered pricing.
