Features released: Two system parameter templates, a default high-reliability system parameter template and a high-performance system parameter template, are released for RDS MySQL. You can copy and modify the parameter settings in either template and then save the new settings as a custom template. The main difference between the default high-availability system parameter template and the high-performance system parameter template lies in the innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit and sync_binlog parameters. These parameters have different values in the two templates to ensure that the system performance requirements of various businesses are satisfied.
