Features released: ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL now supports zone deployment for primary instances. You can specify single-zone or multi-zone deployment. Single-zone deployment: The primary and secondary instances of High-availability Edition are located in the same zone. The primary, secondary, and logger instances of Enterprise Edition are located in the same zone. This deployment method applies to business scenarios that require high performance on synchronous replication. Multi-zone deployment: After you specify a zone for the primary instance, the secondary and logger instances are automatically deployed in other zones. This deployment method applies to business scenarios that require high availability. Dedicated instances of Enterprise Edition and High-availability Edition based on local SSDs can implement an availability SLO of up to 99.99%.
