Target customers: all users. Features released: Elastic Container Instance provides the DescribeAvailableResource API operation. You can call this operation to query the ECS instance families available in a specified region and zone. When you call the CreateContainerGroup API operation to create an elastic container instance, you can use the InstanceType parameter to specify one or more ECS instance types that fit your needs. Before you create an elastic container instance, you can call the DescribeAvailableResource API operation to query which ECS instance families are available in the specified region and zone to ensure that the instance can be created.
