I/O acceleration: This feature uses Buffer Pool Extension (BPExt) to expand the storage capacity and optimize I/O paths, which improves the read and write performance by more than 50%. 2. I/O burst: This feature separates the storage capacity from performance. This feature scales IOPS and throughput for an RDS instance based on burstable read and write operations.
