Target customers: all users of PolarDB for MySQL who require clusters scaling. Features released: PolarDB compute plans can be used to offset the fees of compute nodes in pay-as-you-go clusters. Compute nodes support multiple specifications, such as 4 Core - 16G. Capacity unit (CU) is used to measure the compute capability of each specification. The capacity of a compute plan also depends on time. For example, the computing capability of a 4 Core - 16G cluster is 0.04 CU. If a compute plan can serve for the 4 Core - 16G cluster for 100 hours, the capacity of the compute plan is calculated in the following formula: 0.04 CU × 100 Hour = 4 CU·H. This is similar to the relationship between power and electricity. If the power of a refrigerator is 100 W, then the power consumption per hour is calculated in the following formula: 100 W × 1 Hour = 0.1 kWh. The unit of a compute plan is CU·H. The unit price of compute plans is about CNY 38 per CU·H
