You can use a management account to create an account group and add all or specific member accounts from your resource directory to the account group. This way, you can manage the resources and compliance packages of the account group in a centralized manner. An account group is also a resource pool that consists of the resources of multiple member accounts. You can use a management account to view the resource lists, resource details, resource configuration timelines, resource compliance timelines, and associated resources of all member accounts in an account group. You can also use a management account to create rules and compliance packages for an account group. The rules and compliance packages take effect on the resources of all member accounts in the account group. This way, you can perform continuous compliance evaluation. Cloud Config provides the account group feature to replace Cloud Config for Enterprise. You can specify multiple member accounts in an account group to centrally manage the compliance data of the resources within these accounts. You can also classify member accounts into multiple account groups to manage the compliance of different departments of your enterprise. The account group feature can be used in the same way as Cloud Config for Enterprise. You cannot group member accounts by using the account group feature. The configurations of the account group feature do not take effect for the users of Cloud Config for Enterprise.
