Previously, the amount of storage that could be allocated to an instance was limited by the instance type. To meet larger capacity requirements, you would have to select an instance type with more storage space, which could result in surplus CPU. If you select an instance type to meet high computing requirements, business with low storage requirements would be left with surplus storage space. This restriction has been removed and now any amount of storage can be allocated to any instance type, which lowers the costs of high storage and computing business.
