ZhenHub is a cloud-based inventory and order management system for eCommerce retailers to automate logistics. The Hong Kong based company manages all your inventory and orders from a single online dashboard. This means no more data entry, spreadsheets and emails. Users can integrate their sales channels like Shopify, automatically fulfil orders and automate the fulfilment process.
ZhenHub requires mass data interaction. On average there are 20,000 visits to ZhenHub and with every visit there is at least 6 data exchanges. The data exchange process requires strict instantaneous feedback within a second. The high stability and excellent network performance are important to our business and Alibaba Cloud has been able to provide this.
We also did have security concerns and it seems to be a question that comes up. But with servers in Singapore and now Germany, we are confident of our data security.
Why Alibaba Cloud?
We were already looking for a way to use the cloud for our web application. The expansion of our cloud-based application meant we had to search for scalable cloud infrastructure and a partner that we could potentially work with in the long-term.

The ability to implement Auto Scaling for our web services was also a big attraction. And Alibaba Cloud costs are based on demand rather than on a data center’s flat rates.
Alibaba Cloud CDN has been able to speed up the request from front end and static resource files. The response within milliseconds provides quick loading and enhanced user experience. RDS used for our relational data storage is quite easy and transparent to program. The main structure provides a total solution including backup, recovery, monitoring, transferring and MySQL-Proxy, which dramatically increases the speed of database requests.
