Challenge

As EasyParcel evolved its services over the past few years, it needed to find a way to improve customer satisfaction while maintaining cost competitiveness, especially when the database’s performance bottleneck interrupted the company’s daily operations.

Why Alibaba Cloud

At the initial stage, numerous cloud-native presentation sessions and workshops were organized as the team was unfamiliar with Kubernetes platforms. At that time, they used manual scripts to orchestrate their applications.

Establishing a dedicated DingTalk group with Alibaba Cloud’s Cloud-Native Product Team allowed the EasyParcel Team to receive timely support and best practice suggestions throughout the migration journey. The process has significantly improved customer recognition and satisfaction.

Alibaba Cloud provided EasyParcel with an IT solution that meets business requirements. Both teams worked closely in refactoring their design into containerization (K8S), Serverless, and managed databases (PolarDB) to optimize the cost while maintaining (or surpassing) the previous performance levels.

Alibaba Cloud’s cloud-native architecture was implemented throughout the migration. The new architecture caters to customer growth.
