ECS Cloud Server Novice Tutorial Experimental Report

Purpose

This experiment aims to help novices quickly understand the basic usage of ECS cloud server, including server creation, login, configuration, and security settings.

Lab environment

Operating system: Windows 10
Browser: Google Chrome
ECS cloud server: CentOS 7.6

Experimental procedure

Step 1: Create an ECS cloud server

1. Enter the Alibaba Cloud official website and log in to your account.
2. Enter the ECS console and select the "Instance" page.
3. Click the "Create Instance" button and select the required operating system, instance specifications, network type and other configurations.
4. After the configuration is complete, click the "Buy Now" button to make payment.

Step 2: Log in to the ECS cloud server

1. On the "Instance" page of the ECS console, find the created ECS cloud server.
2. Click the "Remote Connection" button and select "Login with Password".
3. Download the key pair, decompress and save the .pem file locally.

Step 3: Configure the ECS cloud server

1. After logging in to the ECS cloud server using the command line tool, various configuration operations can be performed.
2. Install the Apache server
3. After the installation is complete, start the Apache server
4. Enter the public IP address of the ECS cloud server in the browser to access the default page of the Apache server.

Step 4: Security Settings

1. On the "Instance" page of the ECS console, find the created ECS cloud server.
2. Click the "Security Group Configuration" button and select "Add Security Group Rule".
3. Configure security group rules to allow specified IP addresses or IP address segments to access the ECS cloud server.
4. After completing the configuration, save the settings.

Experiment summary

This experiment introduces the basic usage of ECS cloud server through the steps of creation, login, configuration and security settings. Through experimental learning, I have a deeper understanding of the use of cloud servers, and also mastered the basic Linux command line operation skills.
