Furthermore, the dedicated support provided by Alibaba Cloud made it easier for White Channel to manage the complete lifecycle of its VOD services, from video upload and storage to transcoding and distribution.

White Channel trusted ApsaraVideo VOD to optimize the overall security, user experience, and performance of its OTT platform. The service helped White Channel add elastic scaling capabilities in its application infrastructure to support millions of concurrent users while delivering a richer viewing experience. Alibaba Cloud's trusted globally distributed CDN of more than 3200 edge nodes allowed the company to accelerate content delivery to users for higher engagement and faster app load times.

In addition, White Channel also utilized the cost-effective Object Storage Service for storing and managing its large volumes of video content. OSS helped the company address the data availability issues by offering automatic backup and disaster recovery capabilities. The built-in media processing capabilities and seamless integration with Alibaba Cloud CDN made OSS the automatic choice of White Channel for data storage and backup needs.

As part of the ApsaraVideo VOD solution, White Channel also leveraged Elastic Compute Service (ECS) to set up secure cloud servers for hosting its application. ECS provided the flexibility to add or remove instances based on the real-time traffic demands, ensuring predictable application performance and dynamic scalability. This enabled White Channel to smartly distribute the client requests to multiple back-end servers to ensure stable application performance during unexpected traffic surges.
