Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia was established in 1946 with a mission to foster religious harmony and provide religious services across Indonesia. It oversees various aspects of religious life, including managing religious education institutions, facilitating interfaith dialogues, and ensuring the availability of religious facilities.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs Pusaka app is an official digital platform developed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia). Officially named Pusaka SuperApps, the application is designed as a one-stop digital service portal, enabling the public to access various services and information provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The Pusaka application offers various public services, including access to religious information, Hajj and Umrah services, and education services and information to access Education Management Information System (EMIS). It provides information on scholarships and educational assistance, as well as assists in the digitization of documents and certificates.

Moreover, the Pusaka application in its original state faced several technical obstacles, including high operational costs and complex infrastructure management. These challenges were also be addressed with the help of Alibaba Cloud.

The Pusaka application was deployed on Alibaba Cloud using a microservices-based architecture by leveraging containerization and cloud-native services Container Service Kubernetes (ACK) with Node Auto Scaling that dynamically adjusts worker nodes based on demand using Kubernetes HPA and auto scaling. This system is highly available, secure, and scalable and it can handle varying loads while maintaining data integrity.

Additionally, Redis provides fast in-memory caching to enhance application performance, while RDS MySQL is configured with a Multi-AZ deployment to ensure high availability and automatic failover for managing the application's structured data.

Web Application Firewall (WAF) protects the application from common web exploits and attacks, such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting.

The solution implemented by Alibaba Cloud delivered several key benefits:
