After receiving our products, distributors in China often request technical documentation, customs import declarations, and inspection & quarantine certificates. In the past, the China commercial team would forward these requests to assistants, who then had to coordinate with supply chain colleagues to obtain the required documents from customs authorities and logistics partners. The assistants also needed to manually match each document with the corresponding lot information in the system and record this linkage in excel for index reference.

This process is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive, making it difficult to respond promptly to various requests.

Cordis China has built a rich set of applications on Alibaba Cloud, spanning from ECS instances to AnalyticDB-based data warehouse. When AI capabilities were needed, we chose Qwen AI for its outstanding performance and the Model Studio AI platform for its comprehensive Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) capabilities and robust features in China. Additionally, by leveraging the Mobi low-code platform to address the "last-mile" integration and customization needs, we have effectively bridged internal and external user experiences, delivering seamless and tailored solutions across the organization.

Leveraging the Qwen LLM within Model Studio AI platform and Mobi low-code interface integrate with the China operation related data within Alibaba Cloud AnalyticDB. We built a case from backend product/lot data and customs/technical inspection documents to user interface facing multiple distributor users via web and QR code login. The key components implemented include:

AnalyticDB:
This contains our China ERP order information contain which distributor purchased which product and lot from Cordis. This can set certain security to prevent distributor from searching the product/lot they never purchased. This not only secure the data in limited scope but also lower the token and data consumption.

Model Studio:
Build 3 agents within Model Studio and set Meta Data for file name. One agent set to deal with dialog answer question like how to use, also can get the search result for product and lot. Second is only input lot number, using plugins for search lot in the database for contract number. Third agent deal with contract number search in knowledge base files with these custom clearance and inspection documents.

Mobi:
Mobi is used to build the application whose interface is presented to users through a platform API with a login QR code. When users scan the QR code for the first time, they receive an email verification link and need to click it to confirm their identity. Through this interface, user can either ask questions directly in the chat window or paste multiple lots number in another multiple search window for convenience. The application submits these requests one by one to Model Studio agent for higher accurate rate (Now it's 100% if file is there). Logistic partner will upload all these document to Mobi knowledge base instead of request from Cordis team.

Already deployed across 1000+ distributor users in China, the platform is delivering measurable impact:
