BAEL Corporation plans, develops, and operates games based on the concept of "eliminating the boundary between reality and games." Most recently, the company developed and is operating "Blue Rock BLAZE BATTLE" based on the popular anime "Blue Rock," which has been extremely popular both in Japan and overseas.

BAEL needed a robust infrastructure capable of handling a large amount of traffic, as well as cloud technologies to enable efficient and flexible operations which are critical to the success of their game titles. Resource Server:

・Deliver resources to clients with Object Storage Service (OSS) and use CDN for acceleration.

・Application Load Balancer (ALB) distributes requests and reduces the load on CDN and OSS.

Game Server:

・Game logic is handled by Elastic Compute Service (ECS).

・Scale resources by using Kubernetes to manage the increase in the number of players.

・Classic Load Balancer (CLB) distributes player communication requests to ECS and Kubernetes.

Data Infrastructure:

・Store data such as game play information in PolarDB for MySQL and links to the BigQuery and BI tools to build a data analysis infrastructure.

・Tair (Redis OSS-compatible) enables high-speed processing of session data and ranking information, reducing the load on the database.

・Compared to initial estimates, monthly infrastructure costs were reduced by 20%-30%.

・System operation remains stable even when access from both domestic and international users surges during events and campaigns.

By leveraging Alibaba Cloud, BAEL hopes to achieve the critical balance in infrastructure operations of "securing necessary resources while minimizing unnecessary costs" and create the next hit product. Through the accumulation of success, the company’s goal is to develop more of their own original games and platforms in the future.
