In December 2025, Omdia released its latest report, "Omdia Market Radar: Global Enterprise-level MaaS 2025", which proposed 9 evaluation dimensions. Alibaba Cloud was rated a global leader, receiving the highest rating in 5 major dimensions, making it the best-rated vendor in China. Internationally, it is second only to AWS and on par with Azure and Google Cloud.

MaaS means "Model as a Service," which provides services to users through API interfaces, applications, or integrated solutions. In 2022, Alibaba Cloud was the first to propose this concept in the industry.

The report proposes that in 2025, MaaS has evolved from a cutting-edge concept into a core engine for driving enterprise intelligence and reshaping the industrial landscape. It has evolved from simple model API calls (MaaS 1.0) to comprehensive capabilities covering the AI application lifecycle (MaaS 2.0). Service providers need to upgrade from simply "selling computing power" to having "delivery capabilities."

Therefore, from a lifecycle perspective, the report constructed a comprehensive MaaS evaluation framework, subdivided into 9 dimensions. Among them, Alibaba Cloud was rated at the "Advanced" level in 5 major dimensions: foundational models variety, model customization&tuning, AI Agent development, cost optimization, and production deployment approach.
