As outlined by the MongoDB Software Lifecycle Schedules (https://www.mongodb.com/legal/support-policy/lifecycles), MongoDB Inc. has declared the end-of-life (EoL) for MongoDB version 3.2 as of September 30, 2018. No maintenance updates have been offered for this version and earlier ones since then, users who continues to run on this version would expose themselves to potential risks if continuing to run on MongoDB version 3.2 and earlier. To provide more secure products with better experience, Alibaba Cloud will implement an EoL schedule for ApsaraDB for MongoDB version 3.2 and 3.0. We urge users to upgrade to later MongoDB versions promptly. Below please find the detailed information:
Affected Product: ApsaraDB for MongoDB version 3.0 & 3.2
Service Termination Schedule:
● End-of-Full-Support (EoFS) Date: July 31, 2024 (GMT+8)
● End-of-Service (EoS) Date: December 31, 2024 (GMT+8)
Impact:
1. As of the EoFS date, services such as renewals and configuration adjustments (scaling and storage resizing) will be discontinued for ApsaraDB for MongoDB version 3.0 & 3.2. There will also be a halt to all feature updates, including hotfixes and bug fixes for these versions.
2. As of the EoS date, all service and support for the affected products will cease, including but not limited to instance access, documentation, and after-sales service.
Note:
If you're running instances of ApsaraDB for MongoDB version 3.0 or 3.2, it's advisable to upgrade to a more recent MongoDB major version to avoid potential security vulnerabilities and other issues.
