We have upgraded the Database Autonomy Service (DAS) product system to better meet your database management needs. The new system features a clearer architecture, more powerful capabilities, and flexible billing models to provide a more professional and intelligent service.
Core changes
Service tiers with enhanced capabilities
Basic Service is free. It includes basic operations and maintenance (O&M) features, such as infrastructure monitoring and detailed analysis of slow SQL statements. This helps you quickly understand the status of your database.
High-value services are now independent. Advanced features from the original Basic Service are now part of the new O&M Service. These features include transaction lock analysis, automatic SQL optimization, and automatic SQL throttling. We also introduced a new Security Service that provides security features such as whitelist management and sensitive data detection. These services are optimized to improve performance and expand coverage, offering more precise and stable protection for your databases.
AI-driven DAS Agent for a new era of intelligent management
DAS Agent is a fully managed, intelligent assistant for database management. It supports databases on Alibaba Cloud, self-managed databases, and databases on other clouds. It uses AI to automatically optimize performance, predict risks, and provide one-stop O&M. This simplifies your database management.
Audit Log Service continuously enhanced for easy compliance
To meet data security and compliance requirements, the Enterprise Edition of the audit log service now offers multi-AZ backup and long-term log retention as part of its compliance audit service. These enhancements help you satisfy requirements for personal information protection, classified cybersecurity protection, and overseas regulations, and simplify how you address audit challenges.

Feature | Description | Basic Service | O&M Service | Audit Log Service | Security Service | DAS Agent |
Uses machine learning and fine-grained monitoring data to automatically perform 24/7 anomaly detection. No manual setup is required. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | DAS Agent can use any enabled feature from Basic Service, O&M Service, Security Service, and Audit Log Service to provide intelligent diagnostics and O&M.
Provides a rich set of performance metrics and supports custom charts. It offers powerful diagnostic capabilities to promptly detect events in database instances, automatically diagnose them, and provide root cause analysis and suggestions. You can also select a time range for manual diagnostics. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Select the database instances and metrics to monitor. Compare metrics across different database instances and use multi-metric filter interaction to monitor the running status of your instances. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
View the real-time performance of all connected instances. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Performs daily scheduled inspections and scoring for all database instances. You can also manually start an inspection for selected instances and time ranges to understand their running status. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Use the Database Autonomy Service (DAS) Alerting service to customize alert rules and templates. When a database instance triggers an alert rule, DAS automatically sends an alert. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
When a database fault occurs, use the quick diagnostics feature to quickly diagnose database performance over a selected time period. This gives you a clear overview of the performance and helps you quickly locate the cause of the anomaly. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Start a diagnosis for an instance's running status over a specified time period. This helps you assess the instance's health from multiple aspects, such as slow query logs, tablespaces, and performance trends, to quickly locate anomalies. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
In the autonomy center, you can directly view anomalous activities, optimization events, Auto Scaling events, and other events that occurred within a selected time range. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
When database storage space is insufficient, set a storage space threshold. When the storage space reaches the threshold, the system automatically scales out the storage. This ensures that data can be written normally without loss and prevents database crashes from affecting your business. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
When database traffic increases and computing resources are insufficient, you can automatically scale out the instance type of your database instance to quickly adapt to peak traffic. It also supports scaling in the instance type when traffic decreases to avoid resource waste. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Predicts performance metrics for the next 24 hours based on the instance's historical data from the past 10 days. It provides scale-out suggestions when the predicted metrics reach the threshold. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
If your business payload has periodic changes, such as high access volume during specific periods, or if a promotion is expected to cause a large amount of traffic, use scheduled Auto Scaling. You can scale out the instance type at a set time to handle changes in the database payload. After the scaling duration ends, the system restores the instance to its original type. This meets business needs while controlling costs. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
When the average CPU utilization of a database instance reaches the set threshold within the observation window, DAS uses spare resources on the same host to scale out the number of CPU cores for the instance based on the set value. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Insufficient database storage space can prevent data from being written, leading to data loss or even a database crash, which severely affects business operations. DAS supports automatic scale-out when the used storage space of a database instance is greater than or equal to the set threshold. The instance does not need to be restarted during the scale-out, so there is no impact on your business. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
View real-time session information for a target instance and perform session O&M operations, such as ending sessions, 10-second SQL analysis, SQL throttling, and optimization. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
View real-time session information for a target instance and perform session O&M operations, such as real-time transaction analysis, lock wait analysis, and session analysis. | ❌ | ✔️ | ❌ | ❌
Basic Edition of the slow query log. | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️
Performs aggregation statistics and automatic tagging at the SQL template dimension based on detailed slow query log data. It provides multi-dimensional filtering to help you quickly locate problematic SQL statements. | ❌ | ✔️ | ❌ | ❌
Uses offline data analytics technology to provide T+1 analysis and automatic tagging of slow SQL statement statistics. This helps you automatically classify slow SQL statements and prioritize their administration. It also provides administration suggestions and a data exporting feature. | ❌ | ✔️ | ❌ | ❌
When troubleshooting faults and performance degradation in Tair (Redis OSS-compatible) database instances, use the Latency Insight feature.
